Desiree Adderley has over fifteen years of wellness experience and has had the unique opportunity to work in academia, commercial and governmental wellness settings. She utilizes this diverse experience in her current role as the Wellness Coordinator for the Miami-Dade County Wellness Works program. In this role she focuses on encouraging the over 26,000 employees and their dependents to engage in healthier lifestyles. In her two year tenure she has spearheaded the Wellness Works Incentive program, which has increased employee engagement by over fifty percent.
In Desiree’s previous role she was the Corporate Wellness Director at Fit 4 Life. She was responsible for developing corporate partnerships and creating wellness programming for those clients.
Desiree’s passion for a healthy lifestyle was ignited when she was exposed to Division I collegiate athletics, as a pole-vaulter for Oklahoma State University. Desiree has a M.S. in Health and Human Performance and a B.S. in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University. In her spare time Desiree enjoys reading, teaching fitness classes and spending time with her two daughters.
